The Terrorists is a southern hip hop duo, based out of Houston, Texas. When you think of socially-conscious rap music former Rap-A-Lot artists come to mind. The Terrorists, who consist of Dope "E" (Steven Baggett) and Aftamath (Robert Baggett) have set out to give the world a taste of the plethora of talent that lies in Houston, Texas. The two contend that their style is straight old-school. Says Dope "E" ,"I have verbal skills and Aftamath is a real deejay. He uses three turntables at one time. We put on a real live performance, old school at it's best. Our shows reflect what hip-hop is all about: beats, lyrics and music."
Dope E was break-dancing, and his brother AftaMath was a mobile deejay. Born in Mississippi and transported to Houston, both of them would attend camp each summer in New Jersey. There both young men learned to read and compose music, as well as, play various instruments. Dope "E" learned drum programming, keyboards, saxophone and the trumpet, while AftaMath mastered the clarinet, keyboards and drums. Dope "E"- the "E" stands for "Effects"- has produced several artists who have gone on to gain national recognition such as Ganksta N.I.P., K-Rino, and S.P.C. Point Blank, to name a few. In fact, Dope "E" produced thirteen of the fourteen tracks on their album Full Scale Attack, released in 1995.
